Cincinnati Reds
I was watching the game today because Homer Baily was pitching (one of the only reasons to watch them right now.) and I was pretty happy. That is until the 6th inning when the Reds showed us why they are one of the worst teams in baseball right now.
WHY OH WHY does the Reds NEW manager pinch hit for Baily in the 6th inning when he was throwing a gem? He didn't have a high pitch count, he had only given up two hit and he had control of his pitches. (5 SOs and only 2 BBs) The Reds were ONLY up by 1. Did he REALLY think our Bullpin was going to hold the lead threw 4 innings? WITH ONLY A 1 RUN LEAD!!! If it wasn't for EE's two run shot the Reds would have fallen victom to yet ANOTHER bullpin meltdown.
Leave Baily in when he's pitching good, if HE blows the lead that's one thing, but don't take him out after 5 so the bullpin can blow his Win...(and SOMEHOW get a win for themselves)
The Reds won in the end yes, but that won't be the case every time (or even half the time knowing the current state the Reds are in.)
